We have installed the old version (Atmos HE32) of the Rapid and find them superior to even higher cost boilers due to the simplicity of design. They are more efficient, reliable and easy to maintain.

I have installed a number of these over the last 2 years and have found them to be fairly reliable, however I have had a few call backs due to internal leaks. Intergas rave about their heat exchanger and how it can cope with a dirty system I found this is not so as the pipe work from the heat exchanger to the expansion vessel is narrow and can easily block. If you stick to correct servicing and keep your system clean this is a fairly good option.

Great VFM. High DHW output for rating and a nice idea to combine PRV and condensed for less drilling out. Flue elbow is very close to wall so tricky to fit from inside. Probably not great for high rise installation. Check all internal connections as have had loose pump fittings before but I have fitted loads of these with no come backs..........yet.

Fitted a few of these boilers now. The pros are:
The hot water performance offers a lot of bang for your buck.
They are quiet.
Easy to commission.
Easy to service.

Now for the cons:
They are heavy
The jig/bracket is poor to pipe into.
They don’t look great
Case is awkward

Great boilers and solid. Has inbuilt digital clock so no need for rf programmable stat. I just use rf non prog stat.

You wire open therm controls to it.
Heavy solid boilers. Quite as a wistle

I've got to say I really love this range of boilers but there's a few points that niggle me though. Firstly the cover can be very tricky to get on and off, something that can be very frustrating in crampet spaces. Secondly the condense trap always leaks but a bit of ptfe sorts that. Thirdly the hot supply can come lose inside the boiler when you're tightening the hot tail below. Generally though, they're like tanks, fantastic to install, very quiet, Intergas gets a big thumbs up from me.

I installed a 25kw Intergas last week and was quite impressed. I found it quite straight forwards to install and was very impressed with how it performed for such a low output. I thought from an Installers perspective, the combined prv and condensate is handy but from a maintenance perspective, this will make like hard work if the prv ever passes. There were a few things that let the boiler down, i thought the instructions were vague in relation to clearances, the flue pipe and fittings connect with clamps which i find were naff, the boiler was quite heavy and as mentioned before, trying to get the case on and off is a pain. I'd definitely install another, but would probably try and jump on a training course before hand.

Personally I'm not a fan of these boilers. I don't like the interface only fitted one but it was faulty straight from the box. The boilers feel cheep to me

This is fantastic value for money when you consider that this is Intergas' budget range. Occasionally the front case can be tricky to remove and refit so lost a mark there. Great option for landlords.
