Baxi 400 Combi

Have fitted a few of these little machines and they are class. They are light weight compact and so easy to fit.

Great boiler, beginning to prefer installing this to the 600 series. Attaching the tails and making the electrical connection are a plus on this model.

Great boiler for the price i have fitted 6 of these now for customers with less of a budget therefore in place of the 600 series and I have to say there spot on for the money and give the installer another option when pricing a competitive job I will be using again soon.

Very much a good all round boiler, good for landlords and the 5yr warranty is excellent addition. Good you can put a clock on this compared to the 600. Both the 400 and 600 range is an easy sell for us

Fantastic mid range boiler unbelievably light and easy to install, simple user interface for those customers that are not tech savvy, cupboard fit which is always a bonus

This boiler has changed my mind about Baxi, the product is a really well built unit and weights absolutely nothing compared to other Combination boilers. Also offering a good warranty and easy to fit. Top marks for a great boiler

This boiler is great to install and a favourite for me so far, I save a lot of time on installation compared to the next boiler, cupboard fit, one man lift so can leave the apprentice to get on with it. Speedy response from Baxi aftercare

Great budget boiler, Baxi finally got it right. price, quality, size and weight. Ticks all the boxes. I'm now able to offer a budget boiler if the Duo Tec or 600 range are not suitable

The best feature about this boiler for me is the weight of the appliance. I was able to carry it from my van into the house ,up the stairs and lift it onto the wall in side a cupboard,on my own. It is handy to have the boiler secured hot the wall and have the flue connected straight away.the flue connection measurement was slightly awkward and not clearly written in the instructions.the filling loop kit came separately and was quite fiddly to fit ,especially as it was so close to the boiler return pipe where I had fitted a magnecleanse.however the fittings were good quality and well thought out.the route for the wiring I foundawkward as there was nothing in the instructions to show you how.when it came to firing up and commissioning it was instant and simple and the pump purge feature was very useful.I would highly recommend this boiler for ease of 7installation and performance.

Easy install with mounting bracket and not a jig. Wiring external controls simple with molex plugs. Commissions helped with de-aerate function. Customer friendly controls 5 year guarantee for piece of mind for customer.

I have fitted about 5 of these boiler and never had an issue with them. They are extremely light and easy to commission. Only time will tell how reliable they are as they haven't been out for long. But initial impressions are very good

Fitted two of these now and I have to say I am very impressed with this model.
Easy to hang on the wall, brass connections and a nice little channel to run the cables in is a great idea.
Simple to connect Baxi controls with face plate option and easy to commission .

Nice boiler, lightweight, small and compact and extremely quiet. Prv is easy to install too. Good value for money, comes with a 5 year warranty or can upgrade to a 7 year for £60 or so

These don't seem like bad boilers, they are very compact and lightweight. Like most Baxi's, the water connections underneath are awkward to tighten. I think in the future, there is a good chance that the slider the PCB housing uses will break and they will end up covered in closure plate tape.

The 428 is a great little boiler. Lightweight and easy to install even in a cupboard.
I personally am not a fan of composite coponents and prefer the brass components that come with the duo-tec. Although baxi do claim that their composite is as good as brass. Time will tell.
The 428 is open therm compatible which means it can work with he latest energy saving controls.

Lightweight , compact , reasonable price, fits in kitchen cupboards nicely. A lot of plastic inside which is soar to the eyes as I prefer seeing shiny new metal .
All in all a great mid range boiler with decent warranty

Recently installed the 428 and i must admit it was a fit. Looks clean and well thought out and easy to work on.

The new 400 is a cupboard fit boiler, centre flue and no pipe jig, 5 years guarantee out the box.
Baxi is renowned for excellent built quality and fantastic customer care

I fitted one of these last week. Nice little boiler, pretty quite when operating. Light to pick up and compact in design so easily fit in a kitchen unit. Looks a bit fiddly to work on to strip down to do repairs but I'm sure once I've taken one apart it will become easy. Worked well with nest 3rd gen using open therm. Got another one going in next week. The price is good too.

Brillent compact boiler, seemed easy enough to install and works brilliantly. Heats up a fairly big house no problem and quickly. Brillent product, quality company.

For a small boiler, the quality is right up there which also makes it really easy to both install & use as a customer. All of the features of more complicated boilers are there but just easier to use and for the money that i purchased the boiler for, it's great value all round.
The added bonus is that it comes with a 5 year warranty as standard - as long as it is serviced each year - but this can be made longer if preferred by other means.
Baxi have really thought about this boiler & i reckon it will be around for quite a while.

The Baxi 428 is a great little compact boiler, it went in without any issues, it's nice and quiet, and warmed up the freezing house very quickly.the customer was amazed at the difference between the Baxi and his old boiler.I would be happy to install this boiler again , anytime.

So easy to install, all goes together perfectly, wiring is easy to get to.
Lightweight & easy to lift onto the bracket.
Think Baxi are onto a winner with this one.
