Fitted a boiler, flue kit, controls, all great out the packet. Technical help was great too, providing guidance on regs and parts with numbers to get over obstacles

Bought an ecoblue advance 40 combi boiler about 4 years ago, and it hasn’t missed a beat. Really impressed with the price, efficiency and 10 year warranty. No brainer for me, especially when compared to the so called ‘big guns’.
Highly recommended.

What boilers are your customers asking for these days? People always seem to ask me for Worcester but I'm just not a fan of them. They're not built like they used to be I dont reckon

Budget boiler for me is the “main eco compact “ in my opinion the best value boiler on the market 5 yr warranty
My mid range is baxi 600 7 yRR warranty and premium baxi 800 , 10 yr warranty
Essentially all 3 are the same boiler exception be the main can’t be rear piped
My vote goes to baxi

I get asked a lot about Baxi boilers, in particular the 800 range, as it comes with a filter & most importantly a 10yr guarantee as standard.
As a second option, I also get quite a bit of interest in Viessmann boilers, though they are slightly more expensive plus to get the same warranty you need to pay for it.

Most of my customers ask for Worcester as well Purely because of how publicised the name is but I try and steer them away from them just because like you said they are not built like they used to be. But the other half ask for Viessmann, Baxi or Main.

Always Worcester probably because of BG, I soon talk them round. Not a massive fan of the new baxis, but do like the Duo-tecs. So either a duo tec or a Vaillant I talk them into depending on there budget, but always give them the option of both

Will there ever be an option to use a different filter for the 10 year warranty on the 800 models?
Hearing other engineers having problems with them popping off so would be good to have freedom to use other filters if we choose to
