Makita 18V LXT Impact Driver DTD152Z

No brainier everyone should have this in there kit , I have the brushless model .Gets the job done no messing , feels powerful , is powerful does what it says on the tin and more.

Never owned a impact driver before but I now can't live without this. It makes building garden fences or decking soo much easier and saves time and effort. Very powerful and lightweight easy to handle.

I have the brushless model, best drill / power tool I have ever owned, we only ever use makita gear. Use it all the time very versatile plenty of power

Great little impact driver, I probably dont use it to its full potential being an electrician but I love it, you can see its very powerful and well made, mine hasnt hesitated yet

Had this 3 years now still on the original brushes still working like new, power is brilliant for one of the cheapest impacts on the market worth every penny

It’s the cheapest one they do but it’s very good. More than enough power for what I use it for. It’s not feature packed like some of the more expensive ones, but all you need is finger control.

Great piece of kit. Good torque and balanced weight. I never go on a job without it and would class it as an essential. Charge lasts well using 3ah battery.

One of the best additions to my Makita collection so versatile. Lots of torque and last an age on 4ah batteries. Fits in such tight spaces. Well balance and very easy to use.

This is a brilliant impact driver. I don’t own one personally yet as I often use my workmates or combi drill. But I’m definitely looking at getting this for my next purchase. They are very powerful, sturdy and get the job done.

Amazing! I found myself buying it based on other reviews and am glad that I did. I’d tried using a normal electric screwdriver and then a drill to dismantle a substantial shelf/bed in a shed. Both failed to do the job, then I used this mighty beastie!!! So satisfying to use and phenomenal torque for driving in screws. It’s nice to have the variable speed on the trigger too. Honestly, I’ve only used it on one project so far but am looking for stuff to do just so I can use it. I’m very pleased with it. If you’ve already got the necessary batteries it’s a bargain too!

A well built light weight tool with plenty of power to get the job done. Have used this with a socket adapter to remove some pretty stubborn bolts a few times

Great lightweight driver that's well balance with the battery design slightly better than another red competitor. Makes easy work for putting away long screws and bolts

Good value for money for the price. Obviously not as compact or has the features as some of the higher model makita drivers but really does the job and will do a lot of work on a full charge of a battery. I use 5ah batteries and as a spark can get a lot of use. More than enough torque for my electrical needs.

Great value for money. An entry level impact driver. Does exactly what it’s supposed to. They do get hot if over worked but great value for money

So versatile, I’ve got the upgraded one in which the trigger pressure effects the speed, really useful that they have also put a battery indication on it so you know exactly how much you’ve got left.
Been using it recently with work for fixing to triple layer weather board off a cherry picker.

Love this tool so powerful for a small tool, lightweight easy to handle effortlessly drives in all types of screws, i’ve had one for years could not do without it.

I have not needed a more powerful impact. This is amazing for the relatively low cost. This was the second makita item I bought (after a set of 10.8 that I use for kitchen fitting) and it’s still going strong even on a 3ah battery.
May be enticed to go up a model when this gets dropped one too many times but currently it does everything I ask of it!
Decent bit of kit.

Awesome bit of kit, one of my first makita purchases, light and holds up well with site abuse. Once you've added a screw on bit holder you won't be loosing your most used and favourite bits. Which this model had variable speed but that comes with the more expensive models. All in all a great part of your kit

Good quality impact driver, will drive home the longest of screws in no time at all, very torquey, the build quality is typical makita quality, feels comfortable in the hand

Great impact driver. Compact and ideal for use between floor joists. As with most tools with LED lights it's a good feature but always seams to be in the wrong place casting a shadow where you least want it. 5ah battery gives a very good run time. Handy to get an extra belt clip so you can hang on belt to your left or right.

Only a few times has this been out of its depth, but to be fair, I do ask a lot of it sometimes. It's good for small stuff and big lag bolts too. Very controllable, not top of the range but vale for money.

Good addition to my tool kit, not heavy and nicely compact tool. Has lots of torque and holds a good charge with one 5ah battery. Also has a nice clip attached to the side which mean you can clip tool to a belt when not in use

I’ve got two of these now, once you use an impact driver you won’t go back, drives 6” hex screws into timber with ease. A must have if you do a lot of fencing

This drill as been on my hip for three years not one fixing or bolt had defeated

Does the job sometimes too well, not always easy to get screws out,
Easily fires in 4” screws for stud-work, great little tool the only problem with impact drivers are fixing to light weight blocks then you need the normal torque screwdriver

Bought my makita set last year after my previous set began to show it age, in my line of work having tools that work is must so after doing my research and talking to as many makita owners as possible I took the plunge. I have not been disappointed but the impact is by far the most used bit of kit and it just works every time, I really don’t think I would change brands ever again

Used this impactor many times , it has a good weight and balance to it even with a 5.0ah batt attached, plenty power and tourque, it’s a very robust tool as I have dropped mine a few times and still good as new,never missed a beat I would recommend it as a great addition to any tool kit

Brilliant impact driver, All the rest of my power tools are Makita so this was a no brainier, but I’m so glad I bought it, all those years with a combi drill driving in screws thinking what’s the point in a impact driver! I was wrong, they are brilliant.

Very good impact driver! Very solid and powerful! I prefer the DeWalt with 3 speed options, this has a variable trigger instead but sometimes you can over tighten easily.

This brushless impact is great. It is extremely light even with a 4AH battery. There is no stain and is robust and powerful essential for first fixing

Very good makita base unit as strong as Milwaukee and DeWalt very pleased with the one I have lightweight and diescwhats expected mainly driving 100mm

Very very powerful and got all the settings somone would need with speed settings as well as battery life indicator. It can drive 8 inch screws in to hard wood with just a 2 ah battery and use very little power doing so

Great little drills lots of power and the batteries last for a long time ive used it to drive in up to 150mm screws all day and not had a problem

I have a few of theze the latest one i brought in a combi kit from screwfix and it has settings on it to change the impact awsome bit of kit and now usefill for evan the delicate jobs

Good little workhorse. Got one in the van and one in the workshop. Used in all weathers, puts in 300mm timber locks with ease. Good enough price that I might get another to save swapping bits.

Great drill I brought in a twin pack with a combi drill good value for money and so much more powerful than my boach impact driver very well balanced and the batterys charge nice and quickly this is used regularly for door fitting and cant complain

Perfect as a Carpenter this is used every day sometimes all day strong reliable very well balanced complete control essential tool would be lost without it brushless is best

Great impact driver used daily and copes well with a multitude of screw sizes and lengths. It seems to hold charge well but it doesn't feel as fast as a drill driver combo for screwing decking down.

Hi Bought this a while ago and I use it pretty much every day. It's cheap to buy and it's got so much power behind it. I can't recommend it enough.

Good quality product and at not a bad price. Does exactly what it needs to do and batteries seem to last a while will definitely buy more due to the price

This is great value for money and spares are cheap easy to get and fit yourself... Can't go wrong with makita but get a few battery they don't last long

found this impact to be the best one for value for money purchased the body for just £55 which i thought was well worth it had for several years now very robust and reliable

Having got this impact driver within a kit that I bought 4 years ago it’s still going very well.
The impact driver is very versatile due to its size and really delivers the torque and power very well.
Used for a variety of tasks.
Would definitely recommend having in kit.

Only recently bought this and has become my go to tool for almost everything. Excellent battery life and lightweight. Puts the big screws in without a problem.

I have the brushless variety And cannot fault it’s performance.

Light weight and versatile with a handy clip to hang off a belt. Idea for heavy timber fixings.

great bit of kit. makes light work of any screws. like all impact drivers it's slightly noisy but it's an invaluable bit of kit and saves mega time especially if fitting long runs of trunking etc.

Cracking product - had no issues with this in 4 years with hard use. Only mention to purchase quality bits to be used with impact driver for prolonged use

Love impact drivers and I generally use Makita stuff so I would recommend this impact driver for day to day use, even better is if you can upgrade the batteries and can get these running for quite a while without having to re-charge

i would be lost with out this drill. Since this makita drill it swayed me over from dewalt and havent looked back. Perform much better with the bigger battery

A produced that does what it says on the tin, being a Makita i find that I am pay a little more for the name and when it goes wrong, it goes wrong. I good bit of kit that I often use as a hammer as well.

Great impact driver, quite compact allowing it to be used in tight spaces, lofts and voids. Had mine for 3 years with no problems so overall very strong and reliable piece of kit

Cracking little driver for the price.So far it has been powerful enough to do what I want whilst not being to heavy.Its also way smaller than my go to drill which has made it invaluable for getting into floor spaces and drilling jousts.

Great little tool, always used Makita & will continue to do so. I also have the full drill, driver & saw set which is great for swapping batteries over etc when needed.

Lightweight and strong, mine gets abused and bashed about and it never lets me down, multiple setting and a good strong clip to keep it on your belt.

Very comfortable and easy tool to use. Multiple torque settings and speed trigger. Lightweight so it can sit comfortably on your belt or rig. Good quality belt clip so no worries of it snapping.

A nice bit of kit that has pride of place in my toolbox, it handles pretty much everything I’ve thrown at it and I’ve even used it as a hammer.

This is the first powertool I brought my self when I started in the trade 6 years ago. It has never let me down and has been battered. It's getting a bit slow with age now but has been abused virtually every day and still going. awesome bit of kit

The good thing you can add to your collection by buying bare units to make it Abit cheaper for yourself to get the kit you need

light weight, powerful and reliable. drive all screws home and releases those stubborn ones someone loved to paint over. has got me out of otherwise difficult jobs a few times.

The Makita LXT impact driver is one of the best impacts I have ever used. This machine will drive any screw in any material. The 18volt battery lasts about 2 days depending on use.

It’s like Apple once you join the family you can’t leave , first was the DHP458, it came with a case with a space for the impact driver, so the DTD 152 soon joined it, between these bad boys they have built extensions and loft conversions between them without a complaint.

Fairly cheap impact driver. Still well made and durable. Plenty of power available. Use mine daily and never had any issues with it. Nice and compact bit of kit

Don't know what I would do without this great bit of kit. Takes batteries from 1amp upwards and makes use of what power it has, with my 4amp batteries it hasnt struggled with any job ive thrown at it so far. Use quality bits and this thing will drive anything. The torch on the tip is very handy especially under floor boards or dark roof voids. The driver itself is well balanced and doesn't feel too heavy at the same time it feels solid and reliable.

Quality drill. Battery life on the 4amh is great. Made cladding an out house a doddle. It feels sturdy in the hand and solid enough to feel robust without being too heavy. Could not recommnd highly enough.

I dont own it but have used my mates many times. You can def notice the power difference from the milwaukee m12. I realise its kind of a given but... if you want an impact that will make a job like boarding a whole loft out/replacing sub floors and joists, then you have to have an 18v. And one like this Makita, as it should be, does the job. Quick, easy, very little vibration. Great battery life on the 4amh. (I still prefer the Dewalt though.. but then, I am on the yellow and black side anyway...) this is still a great tool though.

Great impact driver, probably my most used power-tool. Great for driving home or releasing difficult screws, esp those that have been in for a long time & painted over, using hammer mode.

Had my Makita kit for over 5 years now. The impact driver has been in constant use and is great. Well built, comfortable and well priced. Drives in 4 inch screws with no real issue

Only used makita so have nothing to compare too, but no problems whatsoever screwing into various materials, good build quality, current one 2 year old, dropped of steps a fair few times and still good as new

The only equipment I have ever owned is Makita. Recently upgraded to the brushless lot versions and they are even better. Very light weight and screws into anything.

I have been using Makita for the last 5 years since moving over dean Dewalt, I can not recommend Makita on there power tool selections, unrivalled in power and performance, opting for brushless allow amazing longevity and outlasting use on a 5.0ah battery.

Makita used to be a good brand. Unfortunately don't expect the new Makita tools to last much more than 1 1/2 years before they give up the ghost. Customer service also dire. Had impact driver and drill both faulty within 18 months and because I didn't tell them I bought them - offered no help whatsoever. Over 30 years we have bought Makita brand - now switched.

I use this impact driver daily and its been faultless now for nearly 2 years. Solid build. A tonne of torque.

Be sure to buy decent impact bits or you'll be forever snapping or rounding off the cheap driver bits. Loads of impact rated driver bit holders available, I use shockwave bits with mine

Had this for a few years and never let me down, great all round drill. Price is competitive. It has lasted longer than any previous brands used.

This is a very deceiving little gun, the Makita cordless impact gun can pack a big punch. can drive 100mm screws with fast and powerful touqre the battery indicator a useful feature on the latest model
