Non-Contact Detection of 50-1,000 VAC Sound & Visual Alert!
The AC Volt 50 is a hand held device for determining the presence or absence of AC voltage in insulated wires,
wall receptacles, fuses, junction boxes, switches, and any other voltage carrying electrical system. It is not
necessary to disconnect the system in question because no contact is required for operation and current flow is
not necessary to locate voltage.
Simply touch the plastic tip to a connection point or move it along an insulated wire. If AC voltage is present, The AC Volt 50 will sound an audio alert and an LED light in the probe tip will glow bright red. The illumination will stop at a break in the circuit or wire, and this allows the AC sensor to be used as a troubleshooting instrument.

This is a really useful tool to have. Now we have to test boiler cases etc just gives us another level of safety without much effort or expense. Certainly worth having.

Handy instrument just for a quick spot check for any stray voltage. Always give a wave around to make sure there isn’t any surprises. Never 100% trusted. But handy nonetheless.

Are use these on the odd occasion but don’t put 100% trust into these. Always test with your other tester. To prove the voltage. But just for a quick test to see if there is voltage in the cable these are fantastic. Thanks

Can’t really go wrong with a voltage pen. Turn it on point towards the wire you wish to check and away you go. The only annoying thing with the voltage pen is that it constantly turns on in the toolbag
