Wiha 200mm VDE BiCut pliers

I like the extra power the button gives you but my main problem is the power button gets stuck in between sometimes of knocked on by accident. Because of this I prefer the ones without the button

Fantastic snips not a lot they won’t cut. The button can be quite annoying at times as it will slip into the setting you don’t want whilst in your pocket or tool bag. Are quite expensive but are good. I’ve had 2 pairs and both of them has lost the button but can still be used.

Great set of cutters love the wiha brand. Easy to use and comfortable what more do you need? Can cut through most normal cable sizes. SwA can get through the steel quite easily without precut ting with a hacksaw

Brilliant tool great quality best ones I have had I will not be changing to any other make and made out of robust materials and nice and sharp and doesn’t take much effort to cut

Great set of side cutters with the benifit of the power function for heavy cutting when required. Borrowed a pair off my Sparkie mate whilst ripping out on a refurb and within 30 mins had a pair on order.

I have to agree with some of the other reviews about the power button getting a bit stuck when changing over from normal cutting to the power cutting. As I only use them to cut larger cables, bus bars and plate screws I check to make sure it’s fully locked in the power mode before opening. I could see this being annoying if using them all the time and swapping between the options. So overall great for when extra power is needed saving strain on my hands.

Quality - quality - quality!
The second you pick these up, you know it’s money well spent. One of the only brands to actually design and manufacture there own VDE rated cutters and other tools. So many other brands now all share the same hardware with different branding or colours being the only thing that separates them. Lovely feel in the hand with almost rubberised texture to the plastic grips. Nice loose action straight out of the packet. No need to bed them in.
All cutters, pliers, grips etc. Within this range are well worth considering as part of your go-to tool kit.

These are by far the best cutters i have had so far, slightly bigger than i was used to but i soon go used to them, lasting well so far as well

Really pleased with these side cutters, I always use 200mm cutters due to having arthritis in my hands . these cut 2.5 T&E like a hot knife through butter

Bi-Cuts have been my 'go to' cutters ever since they were launched. They can cut, strip and crop anything from singles to (small gauge) SWA with ease... plus they don't bat an eyelid at Gripple/Jack Chain/Machine Screws, even Basket etc. which often completly avoids the need to swap tools. Comfortable to use all day, the force multiplying 'button' has a very obvious benefit and IMHO makes them an essential part of my kit - I'll definitely never be without a pair as part of my arsenal.

These side cutters are something I have had i my kit for a long time. I use the Red and Black version but they work exactly the same the power setting is amazing and is great for cutting through very thick parts my other pliers would break with. The only issue I have had with them is the button can be very fiddly with the button sometimes sticking or not seating itself properly.

I’ve had the bicuts since they was first released, great set of cutters, I used them for a range of activities mainly cutting buzz bars and metal banding, still sharp after nearly two years,

My main gripe is with the power button engaged the opening of the jaws is narrow so does restrict the thickness of the cut

These are the only hand tools I use and will use.
Incredible quality, feel and ease of use.
I’m left handed and find them a very good fit.

I have borrowed other hand tools when needed and did not find the others to be as good.

Nice it the hand and will cut easily through large (ish) cable,.

For striping cables I find it quite blunt but I suppose its not its main job.

The BiCut is a good idea however the button is crap and keeps getting stuck and jamming the unit closed, all it takes is a little press but it is starting to wind me up that every time I pick them up i need to check they can open.

An OK product however I will stay with my Knipex.

Great to use and can be stored away in tool boxes and bags, great to keep in the van. Would even be handy for use at home when needed.

The bi cut design makes cutting thicker cables easy compared to normal side cutters but the jaws can't open as much when it's in the bi cutting mode but still really handy in some situations.

In reality its the same with all insulated hand tools, its each brand to their own and each electricians personal view on comfort and ease of use. You do get what you pay for with this item and i would recommend but as with all insulated tools there are always cheaper alternatives. good build quality, easy to use even on the thicker 10mm cables , i purchased mine at a good price and am happy with the purchase but would have to have a good think if paying normal full price if needed to purchase again.

They work great. You generally have to hit the power button on a table to get it to change over, but it's not a problem.

Amazing set of side cutters! Sharp and well balanced in your hand. Great feel ergonomically too. Priced well for the quality.

Nice set of pliers strong and easily cut may need the odd piling up but which don’t ? Overall all good

I bought these after seeing them in action on a video, these are brilliant, the cut through all different sizes of cable very easily, the only downfall is that the power button sometimes get stuck but apart from that these are awesome!

Good set of pliers. Always get a nice clean cut when using, and they don't blunt quickly. Good value for the price.

Nice neat cut, good grip, great value, but to be honest, I prefer my C.K ones. I now only use these as my spare set.
