By far imo the best value for money van around.
Great styling, limited spec has everything you need and more.
Drives great, comfortable and good on fuel around town considering its loaded with tools and equipment as well as materials some times

21 plate van coming up to 10k miles with only issue being the washer pipe hose popped off in the freeze one night. Simple fix nothing to moan about.

My ford has been amazing it drives like a dream is cheap to run and very affordable for the insurance as a young driver. I highly recommend ford and there vehicles as a first car

I have had a transit connect for a number of years now. Have on the whole found it to be reliable. Drives well and has all the comfort of a car. Has a few issues, the rear door hinges have a tendency to seize, which is problematic to say the least.

Ford get a lot of bad press from being unreliable to being easy to break into.
But I havent had any of those problems, the van is reliable, service from Ford has been good, warranty works was completed with minimal fuss, they even wash the van each time it goes in.

I have a Transit Custom L1 H2 (21Reg)
It is a dream to drive, the spec level is exactly what I want/need to operate and the alarm system that txts you when its triggered is a real peace of mind.

You can also check the lock status via the Ford Pro app and lock or unlock remotely, which is great for when the apprentice doesnt return the keys.

I replaced my old Volkswagen Transport T5 with. Brand new Ford Transit Custom Limited 2016
I found the looks of the van much nicer and prefer the more aggressive look of the Fords. The engine performance upgrade compared to the VW was noticeable and not struggling up hill at 50mph any more and with the extra of heated seats, air con and folding mirrors with the Limited I absolutely love it and prefer driving it to my car. Owning the van nearly 5 years now it hasnt let me down and the only downfall seeming to be the security resulting in 3rd party locks being required

No complaints as of yet radio is a bit meh but sign written the van looks top quality and it does get attention, good mpg aswell which keeps my happy

I have had a transit custom for 5 years now never skipped a beat. Had a Renault tragic before wasn’t bad but not built like a transit. Solid build quality and comfortable

Own a Ford ranger for work purposes, it seems very well built and hasn’t really missed a beat for 50k miles.

I wish there was a button to press to stop all the envious looks ha ha!

I used a Ford medium transit van as my personal work van for years. They are work horses with great addition add ons for versatility, would recommend for anyone in the building trade.

Ford is a very reliable company that make excellent vans and awesome cars too, a transit custom or connect won’t let you down as a work horse they are very sturdy and in my experience don’t have too many issues, their cars are pretty good but I’d stay away from eco boost engines as they tend to go pop more than any other Ford engine.

Been driving my long wheel base transit for about a year, I have found a few bad things like.
With a trailer on it loses a lot of power up hill.
Don't get the folding roof rack, good idea but it doesn't work well and it makes a lot of noise then you cruise at 70mph.
That said everything else is great . Lots of space in the cab and back. Drives great,

The Ford transit has always been The Van to have.
The variations on this vehicle is outstanding. The Ranger pick up is as far as l know the most powerful pick up on the market in the UK. There are other vans and trucks on the market but Fords have always been the most popular

My 6th Transit van is best of all for comfort, looks, stiil thirsty around town, good on long runs drive steady and really frugal on fuel. Electric / hybrid next i hope if price comes down as WAY TOO COSTLY !! They push them by how much you MAY SAVE. Not convinced on shedding out so much to save fuel bills eventually. Good old Transit

I’ve had a Ford transit custom limited since august and so far I’ve been really happy with it . Hardest thing is trying to keep it clean !

Ford transit courier loads pace of 2.3 cu. m. Ideal for quick deliveries or one man jobs. Single row of seats to give you more room in the back. Eco blue diesel. Gear access with side door, looks great in race red. Rear camera is a godsend.

Great value for money and well built cars, seen many of them and usually end up impressed, ideally would go for a focus rs but the pockets say no but otherwise there are a lot of good cars in the Ford range

I had many vans over the years and my last Transit Custom was without doubt the finest. They always listen to their customers when producing new models. This van is better than a lot of cars and you really can drive it all day without any fatigue. Definitely the van for builders.

Love my Ford transit custom, although I wish I had the long wheel base version as I can't get 8x4 sheets in the back. Very comfy to drive and gets very good milage on a full tank.

Ford transit custom first class van. Only let down is the security and is a must up grade and I am so inpressed with the van great fuel economy on go runs around town its poor but that's OK.

Currently got a transit custom. Cracking van for what it is, slightly over priced and I've seen alot of them that have been easily broken into but mine touch wood hasn't yet.

I had a Ford custom and to be fair it was a spot on drive. Everything you would expect from a working van but with added comfort. Security on the vans are poor and I’d recommend you changing the locks so that it makes it semi hard for the oxygen thieves to steal your livelihood. That said I rate the custom vans.

Owned several Ford's over the years. No major issues mechanical. Been a real workhorse and fairly cheap to maintain. Unfortunately they rust away within years of buying them. My vw of similar age is still presentable but the Ford has already had work on the paint/ rust.

I have the transit custom limited (swb) and I can say this is the best van I have ever had, Enough space in the back for everything I need, comfortable to drive as I do a lot of mileage, good fuel consumption and the Ford customer service is second to non, they text or email when a service is due which is handy as I always forget

Will never change from the transit, currently have a Mk7 lwb mhr 200,000 miles still going strong, wish they would underseal from new but it's not that bigger deal to do that yourself,

I have a Ford Fiesta ecoboost st-line and a Ford transit connect mk1 I love them both! Reliable and can take a kicking within reason haha, the replacement parts from ford directly are expensive but you can find replacements online for much cheaper

Ford Ranger Raptor great looking pick up good on fuel for type of vehicle lots of little issues I think it’s down to being sat for a while unsold because of COVID but dealership are hard work to deal with would think twice about buying another Ford commercial.

Great vans, whether you go for a connect, custom or transit you'll have a great van, excellent work horse that will not let you down. Highly recommended.

Got my first Ford Transit Custom last February from Foray Group in Yeovil. Best van I’ve had. Smooth and great to drive. All gadgets from CarPlay to heated seats.

I had a transit connect brand new and in its 3rd year I had some issues with it. Just as I was having it checked out the warranty expired and left me with the bill for a new head gasket. I have now got the transit custom and I love the van. It looks and drives extremely well. I will say however their customer service is poor ad they aren't interested in helping too much and their "technicians" aren't willing to put too much time into fault finding. An example I had a issue with the battery dieing on the last van if it went 3 days without running. They said there was a drain on raw battery hut couldn't find it so I asked if they'd unplugged the dash camera. Pretty simple and very obvious. To fix the problem they just reprogrammed so my lights didn't stay on for 30s after exit which to me isn't a fix and didn't solve the issue

Always been a ‘Ford’ man changed to Vauxhall because of price of vehicle to good to be true and Ford was getting on a bit BIG MISTAKE the cost of running a Vauxhall so much higher worse economy and an all round worse experience- can’t wait to change back to a Ford - will never change again

Personally I love fords allthough the customs are new with more features nothing beats my mk7 plenty more room I think then the custom due to the shape

I have Ford transit crew cab tippers on my fleet and I find them, very comfortable, good fuel economy and easy to get parts if needed, overall a good van!!

Ford make the iconic transit and their vans are truly the backbone of the country. I have a mk7 swb which has veen nothing but reliable and done everything i have asked of it.

I use the ford transit custom and connect. I find both drive well with good performance from the engine. Very Comfortable driving position. Good loading space.

Had the LWB Connect it’s a really good van! Nice drive it had all the added extra so great for motorway driving and the drivers seat wasn’t to bad on my back would recommend if you have the money to spend as not the cheapest on the market but as they say cheap isn’t always best

I use the van of all vans a ford transit custom. Its a 2018 modle so far its not had a single problem and now that ive had the time to get it racked out and i am still able to fit a full 8ft sheet inside its the best van ever

I haven’t bought a new van but currently use a transit swb.... great bit of kit and takes all the abuse you throw at it and keeps on motoring

Normally find the guys pretty helpful and all ways giving same service no matter your business there, open late and never make u feel unwelcome

Ive only ever used second hand vans but i must say my transit custom was a very nice van, plenty of space, reliable very good visibility and if you look after it will last a lifetime so a very strong van

I drive a ford transit custom. Very good van but just beginning to show it’s age. Comfortable to drive and great load space in the back. Would definitely buy another.

I’ve owned my mark7 transit for 4 years and it has never let me down. I have always like the design of the transit van and have found the size inside the rear of the van very spacious and has always coped with whatever material I have needed to transport. I do feel the security of the fords is bad and very little support or back up from the manufacture as it seems quite easy for the vans to be stolen. It would be nice to see ford coming up with a better security system to avoid vans being so easy to get into or stolen. I have fitted dead locks to the rear and side doors. Although this doesn’t stop them peeling the doors it means if they have a skeleton key which are widely available and they use this to open the electric locks the dead locks keep the doors locked.

Been driving transits for years. Never really failed me. My 2016 custom has started tk develop some software issues but I've been assured these are easily fixed. Sadly on the new customs the paint work and the security is terrible,

Had my Transit custom from new, 3 yrs at the end of this month.
Been a real work horse, never skipped a beat but the damn things are made of Turkish delight.
Shit the left rear door harder than I should of in strong wind and buckled the rear door, not happy with the body work at all, other than that it’s a cracking van.

Not mind a transit, had 3 over the years. Have a mk7 now, hasn't missed a heart beat really. Could get a new custom but happy at the moment. Next van will be a custom though

Own a transit custom lwb 172, superb van, loads of space and all the luxury of a car and if you look around some great deals on them. can get a fully loaded one that's quicker and more toys than a transporter for way less

I’ve got a 350 H3 L3 transit, love the drive look and features on the van but Reliability has been an issue, new gear box and fly wheel needed with very low mileage, wouldn’t have been to much of a problem if fords sorted it out quickly, but they had it for weeks and then it had to go back 6 mores times to sort it out, it’s still not right but I’ve given up .... don’t think I’ll ever buy anything from fords again

Got a transit custom, it drives great like driving a car! The extras are top notch.. heated seats, heated window, folding mirrors & more..., the load space is nice and big and not any awkward spaces that you can’t use, it looks great and there are extras you can add to pimp it up if you do wish. Security!!! Most vans if not all available are far too easy to break in to these days and Ford is near the top of the list unfortunately, so I looked in to security beefing up before getting the van... this is what I added: “load area sensor” to the already decent factory fitted alarm system, locks for vans dead locks on the side and rear doors, rep lock on the driver door, wiring loom protection plates on the front doors, and finally a Ghost immobilizer so if they can’t get in they can’t take it away!!
Some of the things above are not needed now as Ford released a security software update.. such as the rep lock and wiring loom protection but dumb thieves won’t think about that so I thought it best to have them saves them causing unnecessary damage to the van!
No matter what security you add a professional thief will be determined to get in but if you make it harder it may put them off trying!
It’s about time van manufacturers looked at beefing up security on vans as standard now ! Which ever manufacturer goes first they will see sales rise as tradesmen and businesses want secure vans!

Cant beat a transit best van ever and I've had a few others over the years. The only gripe and the reason I've given a 1 star for quality is security these things are riddled with problems that undermine the whole reason that you buy a van. Too easy to steal. Too easy to break into and not enough being done to combat theft from them. Come on Ford your vans are excellent make them a little more theft resistant and they'll be a market leader once again. I'm afraid to buy a transit these days as its far to easy to Rob or steal the whole damn thing. Get your finger out and get it sorted!

Have a transit custom,drives like a car,has a good dab stereo,6 years handles motorways like a dream.They are a good looking van look modern.

Currently have a ford transit custom dual cab, 1.9d, with the extras style pack, AC, heated seats, Google link radio. got it on lease last year for £280 a month Inc VAT. it's a good van, cheap on the lease but not great on fuel I average 30mpg around town, motorway driving is good 40mpg and comfortable at high speed.

So I traded my Jeep Renegade for a Ford Kuga so I can fit all of my tools and ladders inside and on top and I am glad I did there is so much space inside and the bonus is that I don’t have a van to broken into !!!!

I’ve got a transit connect and it’s my favourite van I’ve ever owned handles like a car big enough to cart a days worth of supplies in easily - and it’s got more toys on than my car

I have to say it's been the best investment I made .
With my sign WORK done on the van it stands out from the eveyone elss.

Absolutely love my Ford connect L2 it's very comfortable, drives great and has loads of extras. For me at the moment it as just enough room but in hindsight I probably should of gone for a custom. However that said the L2 does offer a lot of room it just requires more planning when loading your tools etc. It's been extremely reliable the 2 years I've had it and very economical. There is one very big drawback to having a Ford though and that is that their customer service is absolutely shocking! I've had a few experiences with them now, rude, unhelpful, will do anything to get out of doing something on warranty. I sure if the American owners new just how bad the UK customer service was they would not be happy. For that reason when it comes to renewing my van it is unlikely it will be a Ford.

On my second custom lwb the first was In was lease for bought one when lease ended, really like the van, but the newer one will the add blue isn’t as good as the 2.2 and when I have had issues with oil on the new one 2 oil changes in 4000 miles and ford have been very very bad on there part denying it’s a fault with the van saying it’s the way it’s driven I’ve driven for 18 years and never had this!!

This review is about the ford ranger Wildtrak 2016. Issues early on with sensors failing which meant I lost use of all cameras and safety features. Ford had it in for three days to fix!!! The sat nav and touch screen is by far the worst aspect of this truck! It is awful, and in fact, reminds me of the very first touch screens which were as responsive as a dead rat in a trap. I’ve recently had a recall on the truck for something else. Henry Fords customer service and getting back in touch is shocking, unless you actually walk into their showroom to speak face to face. Try emailing and you won’t get a reply

Have always loved the transit. I’m currently on my 3rd transit. I have a mk 7 currently. Yes the security is an issue but let’s face it any van is a tin box which with the best locks in the world criminals will get in if they want to. Just tin open the side. My ford dealership has always been helpful and good when it comes to servicing my van

Have the Custom Limited & love it. Drives superbly, spacious all the extras are great.
Doubt I’ll ever drive another van!

I’m currently rolling around in a 2014 lab transit connect and it probably one of the best van I’ve ever had, it’s exactly the right size and doesn’t feel like I’m driving around in a shed full of s*it LOVE IT

Well the transit custom, what a weapon that is someone has spent a lot of time thinking about it lift up seats, Bluetooth radio but some genius came up with the 3m length flap what a guy!!

I've been in My trade now for nearly 20 years and the only vehicle I've ever worked from is a Ford transit. I absolutely love these vans and the name that stands above it I wouldn't even consider changing and I look forward to updating my mk6

For what you pay and what you get,, ford seem to be leading the way. I have a new custom and although i find the engine laggy beneath 2k revs, it comes alive after. Thats my only gripe.

I bought 2 brand new Transits Customs Limited for my last business, I had owned two transits before and they where rubbish and I hoped Ford had improved with these new models.
The vehicles are well equipped and gave a decent ride albeit a bit hard on the back end, fuel economy was around 33mpg, one of the vans batteries kept going flat, had it in the dealer a few times but they didnt sort the issue out and wanted the van all day but only worked on it for about 50 mins, van had tracker and we knew when it moved or was started.
The security on these vehicles is rubbish you can un lock them by the drivers door very easily and get access to the load area, for the cost of the van I would buy a Vivaro which is better value. I now run VW but obviously cost more money.

I'm on my 2nd Transit Custom Now. Great van. Had the first on lease for 3 years no bought the 2nd. Security an issue but would it be better if I switched brand?? New facelift model coming soon keep it at the cutting edge of looks and features.

Great all rounder vans. Useful design with the user in mind and good connectivity which is an essential now. Transit custom LWB has a class leading tow capacity which can be usefull and can carry 3.3m lengths flat and 3.6 at an angle (more its flexible) It is beyond me why Ford have not improved their locks since the 1980s although little can stand in the way of the equipment the bandits are carrying now. Check with Ford for recent security recalls to reprogram central locking.

Just got a new top spec transit custom and the service light came on within a few days, I was advised to drive it on motorway to clear it which it did for a few days, it then came back on and went into limp mode, first appointment at ford to book the van in was 2 weeks, it then took a further 2 weeks to fix, new van with 1200 miles and its now been faulty longer than not. ford is not fit for purpose in my opinion , the customer service was also shocking.

Wouldn't get a ford van ever again , an old saying "you can hear a ford rust at night"

I have the new Transit Connect LWB, I tested a few other vans before deciding on Ford. Although the most expensive I can't fault it and feel I've made the right decision.
Decent on fuel economy, looks great and you feel like your in a car rather than a van.
I'm a bit worried about about the security issues though...

Love my van . No differnt to driving a car looks smart and does the job Allways contact me when service is due. Carnt complain.

I have a long wheel Connect 65plate .Cab interior is good looks and feels like a car .Storage space is good for a small van and it drives very well.Now the big problem is Security it's useless they need to do some serious upgrades on van Security

Customer service was extremely poor when purchasing my van. However the product is spot on. I went for the transit connect which is a medium panel van. It drives like a car, is comfortable and has all the bells and whistles. While carrying all the tools in the back!

I have the custom limited and by far the best looking van, with great features. Fairly priced. Very disappointed with the lack of security and how easy these vans can be broken into.

Not a bad van to drive and to look at but the security of it isnt good enough. These vans get broken into far to often. This is why ive gave 3 star for quality.

The only issue if the locks but have upgraded them and alarm also have a tracker fitting

Customer service is very poor and while friendly and accommodating it takes an age to get anything done and communication is very poor. The vans are great value for money and the range is brilliant but the build quality isn't what it used to be. The worst part of this except the clutch dieing after 45k was the fact the key fob doesn't have a replaceable battery and a whole new key fob is required.

Getting a lot of stick lately and rightly so. Security is shockingly bad your brand new ride can be nicked with a £20 key available from virtually any shady outlet
