I find that sometimes it fails to give a nice, neat finish if using on heavier gauge solid cores but on the whole, I'm happy enough with them.

brought a pair of these from CEF at a tool fair as they looked impressive. since buying them i quickly found these to be a must have tool. I found they specifically saved time terminating downlights and gave a neater tidier finish.. However i am now on my 2nd pair as first pair broke and i believe the 2nd pair are on their way out as sometime strip all cores in a pvc cable back to bare copper, so therefore i must mark the build quality down slightly.

Good overall and certainly a time saver. Do find that the arms are either too tight or too loose, there’s never a happy medium!
That said still use them daily and overall would keep using

I purchased a pair of these at a tool fair from the super rod stand and got a good deal on them. I had been using a competitors that had broken so gave these a go. I have been very impressed, they work perfectly Evey time and have a very solid build that I feel will outlast my last set. Especially useful when second fixing a lot of Downlights or sockets. Great little tool when lots of stripping to be done so easy to use and doesn’t damage the conductor perfect even for a diy user but robust enough for trade can even strip multiple cables at one handy crimping tool and cutter built in to the handle always on hand during domestic instals only down side is can’t fit anything bigger then a three core cable in it would love to see a bigger version

This simple tool has literally changed my life at work. I used to be someone who had to use a Stanley knife to strip flex with. This makes wiring so easy, to be able to strip cables with 1 squeeze is a game changer, great tool!

This is Tool Talk from Expert Trades and you're watching Ben Curry from Electrical Innovations. I'm going to be reviewing these Klein Tools on a ... I'm just going to make off a RJ45 cable on a CCTV we're installing. This is all still to be tie-wrapped, just got it in, making sure it all works before we dress it all in. So these things are pretty good, so still need to chop off the bits of string, you can do them with them if you like, but you don't have to. And nice and ... Untangle these, twisted pair, it's either the best or the worst invention ever. Anyway, there we go. If I sound a bit funny it's 'cause I'm full stretch on my belly under a desk connecting these up.
So I reckon if we straighten all them out I can go down it with them. [inaudible 00:01:11] do all of them in one go, do you reckon? No, maybe not all of them. There's four together. Okay. There's another four. Missed one. There you go, much better than doing it with side cutters. So that's the Klein Tools wire strippers. Pretty good. I like these. I've had them a couple of months now, got them from Expert Trades to review and I've used them every day, so yeah, top tip, get some of these if you're a spark. Okay. Thanks for watching, it's Ben Curry from Electrical Innovations and this has been Tool Talk.
Hello everyone. Lee from iGas Heating Ltd. I promised to do a review on behalf of Expert Trades for Tool Talk Reviews, reviewing the Klein Tools cable strippers and cable cutters.
I'll start with the strippers first. Very, very impressed to be honest. As I said before, normally stripping is with a standard knife. Not great, you can nick the innards and things like that, then you got to start again. I'll show you literally how easy this is. You've got some jaws at the top. Now, I'm not sure if these jaws can go up and down because one thing I've found, with thicker flex, I couldn't get it in. It really struggles to get in there. I've just got a smaller bit for the purpose of the review. But that's probably me to be honest. That probably can be adjusted so, something worth looking into.
I'll just show you quickly for the video how it easy, see that's gone in. What you do, squeeze it, there's your shiv, pull it off, job done. Why I didn't know, they're self adjusting, so to expose the bare copper inside for your actual wiring, again put the cable inside. Done. How good is that? So, so good. Let's do another one. That one. That one. Job done. Absolutely brilliant.
Slight negative now. The cable cutters. Ultimately for cutting cables, show you how easy that is. Brilliant, really good. But, if you want to then strip it to get the exposed copper, not great. Not great at all. So we've got a few cuts and turns. Give it a tug and you've got this exposed bit. Still a nice, neat cut and everything, but personally if I knew about this, I wouldn't buy this. Reason being, these are good for cutting the cables but not good for stripping. If I just just show you, these actually cut the cable as well as strip it. You've got, just in the handle here, some cutters. You just pop it in, job done. Really good. Personally, I give these a ten out of ten. These, depending what you use them for, obviously just for cutting the cable, great, ten out of then. Then if you want to strip it it's not great. I give it a five personally. You don't want to be carrying two tools to do the same job when you can do it with one from the same manufacturer.
Great tool. Very happy. Have a great Friday, peeps.
