I've recently bought myself the flat jaw grips which have been really good, they have come in handy recently as I lost my other adjustable spanner, I find the mechanism to be a little bit of a pain to get use to but that might just be me as I'm use to using bahco or rothemberger.

Great pair of pliers, the plier wrench has completely replaced my adjustable spanner. Once you get used to them you can guage pretty easily where to set them.

I've had these for a couple of years now so I'd say they've had a good field test. I love the durability, how they seem to avoid most corrosion, the comfort of use and precision. The main downside for me is the ability to accurately set the width from muscle memory. With my old rothenberger ones you got used to certain notches being the right size for certain applications, whereas knipex ones aren't so obvious. Yes the plier wrench has numbers along the side but even then over time they fade and it becomes the same as the pump pliers. A trivial problem to have but if i had to improve them that's where I'd start.
