Knipex TwistCut Corrugated Pipe Cutter
Knipex TwistCut Corrugated Pipe Cutter for cutting empty or ready-assembled corrugated pipes to length, with a diameter of 13-32mm. The recessed blades prevent injuries and provide an exact flush cut, without damaging the internal cables. Cut on the outside of fluting, no sharp raw edge inside the corrugated pipe.
The body is made from a stable polyamide compound plastic. With a slim and ergonomic shape for work in poorly accessible areas. Double-sided guide for a precise cut. Simple insertion of the corrugated pipe for reliable and simple cutting, no waste. In the case of thick-walled corrugated pipes, reapply after the circular cut just behind the cut and break off the corrugated pipe.
Ideal for use in the electrical and construction trades and for plumbing work.

So I've been having a play around with this little gizmo for the past few weeks and it's a real game changer for the trade, so what is it? A small plastic clam shell 3d printed tool with integral recessed bladed tool that fits over plastic corrugated conduit for quick easy cutting with a nice clean finish, it can cut plastic corrugated conduit between 13-32mm with one quick twist and it's done. One of the key features is you can still cut the conduit with cables or pipes still in place without damaging them unlike using a hacksaw or Stanley knife you end up with a messy cut and takes time and you have the risk of damaging what's inside.. another great feature is if you have the plastic conduit poking out of the back box and it's just a little too long you can slide the twist cut over the conduit and cut it so it's flush with the box with ease.. which I don't think can be done with any other tool on the market especially with cables still inside.
Only thing I would say is I'm not sure of the longevity of the blade itself and it doesn't seem as if its replaceable but i have cut a couple of rolls of conduit down into small pieces and it doesn't seem to be showing any signs of wear but the price of them and how much time they save I would be happy to purchase as a expendable on bigger jobs
This really is a cracking tool knipex have created and I think anyone who uses corrugated plastic conduit needs one of these in their tool bag it will save so much time and money and less risk of damage to cables!

A very handy tool to have when cutting corrugated flexi-conduit. Easy to open and get around 20 and 25mm flexi, it makes a nice cut and is easier than using a craft knife.

I received a set of these to try for free. I thought prior to trying them they would be a bit of a gimmick but they made the job so much easier. They cut through easily and cleanly . Time will tell as to how long the blade stays sharp but so far they've cut through many lengths and show no signs use. Another product I thought I probably wouldn't need and would barely use but I've been proved wrong.

I received a my pair and put them straight to work and was surprised by how easy they were to the old way of hasksaw or sharp knife and they left no damage to the wire that was in the pipe.. Highly recommend

A really nice tool this. I always used to hacksaw my plastic copex, but after trying this I will only use this in future. The cut is so clean I've had no problem fiddling to get adapters on after. For such a simple tool I have been really impressed. The only thing I found to be a little odd is the locking feature just isn't quite strong enough but it's a minor gripe on a excellent tool.

Hi guys, Neil Gargaro from Routley & Lemon Electrical Contractors. We're going to be doing a Tool Talk Review on the KNIPEX TwistCut. This unit's designed to cut plastic conduit between 13 and 32mm. 100mm in length. What you've got is a clam shell type casing, which is sprung loaded. When you hold the plastic conduit in there, you got three sharp blades either side, that squishes up against the plastic and cuts it off with a nice clean edge. This really is a fantastic bit of kit. You literally squeeze it on, twist and it's off. Twist. Off.
The only thing you have to worry about is lining the corrugated parts of the plastic up with the teeth, but it guides itself in on its own. This one's not a twisted plastic, this one's the straight type. With a twisted one, it's even easier.
This really is a brilliant piece of kit. It's quick, easy, no hacksaw, no Stanley knife involved. You can even use it with cables inside. It's not going to damage the cable or pipe work. It really is quick and easy. I think every electrician or anyone messing around with plastic conduit should get one.
